The straw that broke the camel’s back for me to run for the school board was a news report that the state of Maine was voting on issuing condoms and birth control pills to middle school kids.
In a time when the school cannot give a child headache medicine, they want to condone them having sex. This is ridiculous. I do not want any policies that people think are a correct way to handle problems in other states showing up in our county and harming our children.
“A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing … than … communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?"
